A Day in the Life

You will perform a variety of technical duties using the appropriate standard laboratory practices. Requires workable knowledge of laboratory techniques and medical device development, working under limited supervision.


+ Conducts performance testing on the component level and system level devices.

+ Performs tasks requiring considerable judgment in determining work methods, interpreting results and writing clear and accurate reports.

+ Works with engineers in evaluating and improving designs or processes.

+ May build and test mechanical models, electrical circuits and assemblies, labview, and/or perform basic analyses requiring knowledge of scientific and/or laboratory techniques.

+ Compare results against predetermined limits and write clear and accurate test result reports.

+ Construct and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment.

+ Troubleshoot and fault isolate equipment.

Must Have: Minimum Qualifications

Technical Associate Degree or equivalent experience in applicable discipline with five (5) + years applicable technical experience

§Strong attention to detail and task organizational skills

§Operate well in a team environment

§Proficient computer skills with office software applications

§Proficient use of basic data analysis tools

§Strong written and verbal communication skills

§Proficient use of test equipment

§Worked with Labview (will not develop Labview programs)

§At least 1 year hands on experience with assembly, calibration, and testing of precision fluidics, including pumps, valves, fluid heating, fluid mixing, fluid metering, and fluid sensing.
