**In this role you will support the Mechanical Circulatory Support division, specifically HeartWare products for product development projects associated with the heart assist pump projects.**

**A Day in the Life**

§You will be an integral player on a project engineering team working on design, development and verification phases for heart assist pump projects

§You will develop project documentation within the scope of Design Controls, maintain design history files and design traceability documentation.

§You will create models and 2-D drawing packages using SolidWOrks and perform GDT and tolerance stack analyses

§You will coordinate Project and Technical Design Reviews

§You will be the liaison to suppliers in procurement of components, sub-assemblies and contract services

**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**

You will have a BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 4+ years’ experience in medical device or other FDA regulated industry or a Master’s degree and 2+ years experience

**Nice to Have**

§Understanding of international medical device standards

§Advanced understanding of Design-for-Manufacturability (DFM) and Design-for-Assembly (DFA)

§Proficient in rotary pump design for implantable medical device
