This position will be part of a team responsible for the successful implementation of SAP planning functionality within Medtronic’s Supply Chain organization. Working on all project life cycle phases, with emphasis on translating user requirements into SAP functional specifications for associated processes, reporting, data conversion, integration and enhancements design needs. Position will provide detailed functional knowledge of SAP ECC, SAP APO and other SCM tools used for planning throughout the development process as well as maintain insight to current industry best practices and how they can be applied at Medtronic.

Responsible for successful implementation and configuration of SAP ECC and APO Supply Chain Planning processes within shared IT organization.

Assess the business customer requirements, match these requirements to objectives and guide them to the SAP processes and products including developing specifications and enhancements that will achieve the customers and business goals.

Expected to work independently under limited supervision with end-users and business partners to understand requirements, and design/estimate solutions.

Potentially lead projects with some delegation of work throughout the systems development life cycle, including project definition, requirements gathering, design, development, test, release and delivery for SAP implementations.

Understand and improve individual planning processes across multiple businesses.

Learn the Medtronic MSCM system development life cycle process to ensure this methodology is used in all implementations.

Develops solutions to problems of medium complexity, which require ingenuity, creativity, and innovation. Uses previous experience to shape future decisions.

Develop and review technical/functional specifications.

Facilitate unit testing and integration testing of developed components.

Assist in implementing technical and process best practices.

Develop and maintain a theoretical understanding of current hardware and software technologies.

**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**


GED/High School Graduate


12+ years of IT experience with a GED/High School Graduate

10+years of IT experience with Associate Degree

4+ years of IT experience with a Bachelors Degree

2+ years of IT Experience with a Masters Degree


Minimum of 2 full lifecycle SAP rollouts.

Experience implementing Advanced Planning Solutions like SAP APO.

Configuration experience with SAP APO gATP module.

Configuration experience with SAP APO SNP module.

**Nice to Have:**

Bachelor’s Degree

Functional and configuration experience with the following SAP modules:






Business or systems experience within the following areas; planning, manufacturing, distribution, inventory management, sales (Supply Chain).

Demonstrated skills in implementation of supply chain planning systems.

Experience with SAP APO gATP. Including Order Commitment, Product Allocation, Multi-Level ATP, Rules-Based ATP. Substitution rules.

Experience configuring the SAP’s Core Interface (CIF) between ECC and APO.

Ability to troubleshoot issues in SAP and manage interactions with SAP support including researching and recommending OSS notes and creating and following up on Incidents with SAP

Experience creating process chains for scheduling of planning jobs in APO

Creating functional specifications and testing reports in SAP BW or APO BW

Ability to communicate with senior internal and external customers.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Highly client quality oriented.

Ability to manage customer expectations, communicate issues status.

Track record of delivering on commitments (high quality, on budget, on time) while working on multiple assignments concurrently.

Experience providing training to end-users.

Advanced degree in Computer Science or business related discipline.

Business Analysis Certification.

Six Sigma Green belt or Black belt certification.

APICS certification.

Solid understanding of supply chain principles.

Goal oriented, task driven decision-making with a strong sense of accountability. Focused on improving productivity, profitability and business processes; delivering solutions on time and within budget.

Good teamwork skills.

Solid interpersonal, oral, presentation, and written communication skills.
