In support of global IT strategies, the IT Business Office within the IT Shared Services organization ensures that cost optimization is a continuous practice resulting in a balance of cost saving innovation to achieve positive results. The business analyst delivers on the defined strategy for cost optimization and running IT as a Business. This individual will be an essential member of the IT business office which will increase efficiency, save money time, implement purchase governance, provide input to business decisions, optimize IT budgets and deliver quality service. This individual must also understand contractual, commercial and operational working relationships with vendors to ensure that contracts match IT spend in support of running IT as a business. Strong relationships with legal, sourcing, finance and IT partners are critical and necessary for success.

**A Day in the Life**

Design, establish, maintain and enforce policies, standards, processes and templates to manage the lifecycle of purchases and gain value from optimization of IT Shared Services spend.

Classify, rationalize and optimize the spend. Deliver improvements for IT savings opportunities.

Maintain clear metrics across all key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure efficiencies.

Create, consolidate and communicate detailed reports and key data to stakeholders related to current spend and opportunities to reduce spend.

Execute a proactive approach to governance for IT spend management.

Perform analytics-driven decision making based on data.

Execute and organize data based on the TBM model.

Maintain IT spend scorecards and dashboards that present relevant data tailored to each audience. Address billing issues and disputes.

Provide financial viability, business continuity, and corporate and regulatory compliance as it relates to purchases and associated billing.

Manage, maintain and regularly report IT Benchmark data.

Manage program managers and other employees.

Provide appropriate support/training to internal staff related to Run IT as a Business.

**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**

**EDUCATION REQUIRED**

GED/High School Graduate

**YEARS OF EXPERIENCE**

10+ years of IT experience with a GED/High School Graduate

6+ years of IT experience with Associate Degree

2+ years of IT experience with a Bachelors Degree

Some IT Experience with a Masters Degree

**SPECIALIZED SKILLS OR KNOWLEDGE:**

Strong technical experience in infrastructure, application software and hardware products and services

**Nice to Have:**

Bachelor’s Degree

Advanced degree: MBA

Results oriented: track record of delivering remarkable results

Mindset to achieve results for the IT Business Office

Background in vendor management, strategic sourcing, finance or IT

Proven track record of successfully managing IT business areas

Strong financial background

Experience working with relevant regulations in IT industry

Influencing: ability to accomplish goals through influence across the enterprise

Business-minded: ability to understand business challenges and opportunities

Data analytics, risk management and financial competence

Strong communication skills

Strong results orientation, demonstrated by driving to deadlines, financial targets, project goals, etc.
