This is a highly skilled technical position requiring experience in programming, setting up and running short run CNC Swiss lathe components. Must be able to read blueprints and apply knowledge, experience, know-how, ingenuity and innovation to produce/manufacture required turned components. These components can be from simple to very complex.



**Must be able to program and run current CNC Swiss lathes, (1-Star machine and 1-Tsugami machine) and possible future multi-axis work centers. These are multi-axis (up to 9 axis) machines. This position must be able to deliver and communicate the required schedules and commitments.**



High School graduate or GED program and 5+ years of industry experience.

Trade School or Tech School graduate from relevant tooling/machining program.


5 + years in a specialized Swiss lathe position


+ 10+ years industry experience

+ Proven knowledge of G M Codes

+ Manual Swiss lathe programming skills

+ Tsugami and Star CNC Swiss lathe experience

+ Experience using turning software for programming

+ Experience turning a wide variety of materials: SST, Copper, Delrin, etc…

+ Basic tool grinding skills

+ Capable of holding tolerances of +/- .0002” on diameters

+ Problem solving skills

+ Experience using a variety of work instruction methods, CAD models, sketch, verbal, standard print, etc…

+ Experience turning medical components

+ Experience with turning and Swiss capabilities

+ Demonstrated communication skills

+ Experience working on teams

+ Demonstrated organizational skills


Ability to manually program Swiss lathe piece parts to specific drawing dimensions and tolerances.
